tomorrow is the start of a new semester le. holidays have come to an end. hope i can do better this semester. slacked for 3 months le, hope my mind havent become rusty. now printing lecture notes. its so fustrating. argh...when will i learn not to try to print at home. this printer always give me problems. like printing one page onto 3 pages. sigh...13 more pages to go...
spent my last day of holidays with my family. we tried a bit of archery just now. its quite fun but very tiring on the left arm. not enough strength. haha... my first shot flew off on the floor. but i managed to hit the target later.
yesterday, i met up with meizhen and shiwen. bought my first shirt during the hols. couldnt resist the urge. haha... and i highlighted my hair. but seems like its not obvious enough. the actual colour looked much darker than what the hairdresser showed me. anyway, still prefer myself with shorter hair.

school's starting next week, so i'm gonna enjoy myself first. though i've been doing that for the past 3 months. i forgot my ntu password! how blur can i be. now i've to go to the IT centre for the second time this year to reset it. sigh...cant even check my timetable now.
anyway, met up with some of the cns people for lunch yesterday. jinhan's treat. haha... we went to this cafe in cineleisure. think its called friends. replaced the previous lips cafe. the food was quite good. they were having the student promo, from 2 to 6pm. damn cheap. for $5.90, you get to choose a main course and also free flow of soup. drinks are an additional 60 cents. really good bargain considering the original price of the main course alone range from $7.90 to $11.90. students can consider going. after lunch, i played pool for the first time. haha... its not as easy as i thought it would be. not very fun to play. maybe my skills too lousy. the only balls i can hit in is the white one. hwai quan almost gave up teaching me. now looking forward to our naruto screening~

went to marina twice in 3 days. first was sat's outing with the jap class people. didnt expect it'll only be the 5 of us. so shelved our plans for steamboat and went to sakae instead. ate alot there, including something gross. they took a plate of snails and persuaded me to try too. the thought of eating it was really gross but i think i put too much wasabi, i couldnt really taste the snail. still, one is enough. *bleah* but i had alot of fun that day. we went to esplanade after dinner and started a phototaking frenzy. the main exhibit is always really good for taking photos.

yesterday,went to marina again to celebrate hui's bdae with the gals. now all the poly people graduate. they are working or planning to study. feels like we've all grown up. haha...den went with hui to visit wanyu at work. she and zhiwei so eng there. should i help out during national day too?

just came back from cns camp last evening. so tired, only slept 3 hrs a day. but i really enjoyed myself. got to know all these nice people through this camp. i was supposed to be under logistics, but somehow i became helping the sports programmers more. didnt know how to help logistics. dont even know how to set up the pa system. and there were already 4 guys. they wont let us girls carry the heavy things. first day we had the amazing race at school. not really fun being station master. i was there to keep jiafang company. she's one hyper girl with her infectious laughter. spent the time crapping while waiting for the teams. spent the night at little bodhi temple. the temple was kinda like chalet, air-con super cold. on the second day, 10 of us in the advance party went to changi chalet in the logistics minivan. we really packed the van with equipment and there's hardly space for 7 people in the back. me and lihui had to lie on the things near the back door. the aloha chalets were so big and old with 4 or 5 bedrooms. there was one room with a small nursary at the back. it had a broken cot in it. quite creepy actually. it was really fun setting up the haunted house together. but we all found it quite funny during the trial. lol...i was one of the scarers hiding under the bed. took a whole 3 hrs for all the freshies to finish. so damn tired being a ghost. but it took away any fear i had of the house. but we had to attend buddhist talks everyday. all of us were so tired, cant help nodding off. think i actually slept during 1 meditation session. one nus lecturer was quite inspiring though. learnt alot. jinhan, our logistics leader was quite protective of us subcommers. probably made a few people unhappy. but i wanna say i think they all did a great job and i really like all the people there. had a great time!

to my dear hui, wish u an early happy birthday! hope you can find a bf soon so u can be sure no there's someone to celebrate ur bdae !! be happy alwayz~

whew...the week is finally over. last weekend, i went more another two days of trial camp. running the amazing race again is not fun. this time, i went with a couple of seniors. the games were more or less the same and i already knew all the answers to the clues. the day at changi wasnt so bad. think the night walk will be quite exciting with an ending climax at the 'haunted house'.
met hui,gary,jy and iz for dinner at suntec fish n co after the trial camp. can we not go there again? haha... then gary had on his army specs and could see that he had tried to style his hair abit. but his specs still made him look somewhat nerdy. i enjoyed myself at dinner but was abit distracted. my mum had called to say they were sending my bro to hospital cos he felt dizzy and fell, hitting his head on the floor. so it doesnt seem right that i should be enjoying myself. was quite worried cos head injury is quite serious. plus he also vomitted.
but he's ok now. discharged after 4 nights stay. thanks to u all for your concern. one thing i'll like to say is that changi hospital is very inefficient. they doctors are mostly young, many under training. some not even confident of taking blood samples. they didnt explain my brother's condition or what they were doing. they only came once a day. then said that maybe my brother was too tall. crap. it was my dentist who explained to me. how ironic. the radiologists took two days to come up with the x-ray report. the result? they were still not sure if the line shown in the x-ray is a crack or a blood vessel. so they only sent him for a brain scan after that. i think its pretty fustrating for patients. alot of people were complaining in the ward. wonder if other hospitals are like that. so dear frens, please take care of yourselves.
that aside, i went to watch war of the worlds today(finally!). it was really great and exciting. its like a computer game. the aliens zapping all the humans with their light beams. but i didnt really catch the ending. how come the aliens all suddenly collaspe? did they catch bird flu or something? overall its a nice movie so go watch if you havent.

last sat i went for the bbq that sharon organised at east coast. we had actually invited alot of people but most of them couldnt make it at the last minute. so we had a record breaking of...5 people! luckily we didnt buy too much food. sharon was very well prepared. she brought everything from cutlery to knife and even a marker to write our names on the cup. i had fun bbqing the chicken fillet and marshmellows. the best that i have ever bbqed. mei mei marinated the fillets with mc donald's chilli and pepper. looked like something out of seoul garden. not a bad creation. lol...the sky was filled with stars that night. it was really nice and nan de. i jus love stars. then mei mei said our planned trip to sentosa with our jap classmates have to be cancelled. so disappointed... wanna go sentosa. oh well

second thing, i finally plucked out 2 of my wisdom teeth yesterday~ 2 down, 2 more to go. the pain was bearable actually but my body was tensed throughout the 1 hour. though numbed from pain, i was not numbed from all feelings. i could still feel the dentist drilling and cutting the tooth into half before forcibly pulling it out. i used to be very afraid of going to the dentist and i'll cry and sulk everytime. so i thought that i'll never have to pull out another tooth after my last milk tooth dropped. now got wisdom teeth. why call them wisdom teeth when they are useless anyway. now my left cheek is swollen and according to colin, i'm probably like a half chipmunk. have to miss out on the movie outing tonight. i wanna watch initial D and war of the worlds!! anyone wanna watch with me?

this week has been quite busy. the painters came for three days to paint our whole house. now my house has become so colourful. hee...but i think its quite nice. the living room and other common areas are painted lilac. my room sunshine yellow. my brother's room bright orange and my parents' room sky blue. i keep changing colours for my room but decided on the yellow in the end. i like my room. : )
this morning i went to the dentist and missed out on ying's invitation to watch batman. but at least this week can meet shiwen. take out ur braces even more pretty le wor. then the bad news is i've got to take out all my wisdom teeth before they push my other teeth. how?? i damn scared... haiz...*prays there'll be no pain* i'll need all the courage i can get

Trial Camp
It has been a busy week. think i went out almost everyday. watched star wars on fri with my mum and bro. didnt think it was so great. and padme never seems to age from episode one. weird...can father anakin's children somemore. met up with ying and xiuhui on sat too. went shopping at orchard. suppose to meet the guys too but they so lazy dont wanna go to town. hai...wait till they go army, wanna go out also cannot. going out with the gals so much easier.
went to the ntu buddhist society trial camp yesterday. just joined the logistics sub commitee. i was quite skeptical at first, whether it will be some religious camp with buddhist classes. but it turned out alright. i had fun. we played some ice breaker games. the people were nice. especially since my group consisted mainly of non-buddhists too. the morning was filled with introduction to buddhism and we were taught the different ways of prostrating, puja chanting and watched some video. not what i'll find interesting so i sat out on the video. the people there were mostly seniors though, going on to final year. so when we played the amazing race, they asked me to guess the clues and places. cos i was the closest to being a freshie. we went around the whole ntu. tiring k, all the stairs and the hot sun. woke up at 5.30 to go sch. havent got up so early before. quite surprised that the mrt got quite alot of people too. where are they going so early on a sunday morning?? overall, the day was fun. will look forward to the real camp. just too bad they scrapped going to sentosa this year

Wild Wild Wet~
i had a great time at wild wild wet yesterday! the place was kind of expensive considering there were so little rides. but the water was so inviting in the hot weather. there were not many rides so we went on them over and over again. we went on the ulah lah(float ride for 6 pple) so many times until the station master got tired of us. we sat till we finally got a perfect picture for the camera. lol... the samsung ride was most exciting but it wasnt so scary after the first time. on the first time, two of us had difficulty sitting properly on the float, creating much laughter. it looks kind of obscene if you are standing at the back. seeing 2 people sitting facing each other trying to push themselves up on the float with their legs apart. haha... after that we lazed around in the jacuzzi. shiok~ singapore should build a bigger water theme park in the integrated resort next time

Guitar Concert
went to TPJC guitar concert last friday. so glad i went. yixi,thanks for the treat. surprised to see chantel and jennifer there too. the concert was so good, especially the ensemble. they won gold at syf this year. they had a decent instructor. ours looked liked some street musician. and they had uniforms. that made them look alot better. but most of all, their skills surpass ours by so much more. they played songs like First Love and She Will Be Loved. It was really great. and i got to meet up with the guitar people after so long. especially my cousin. haha...people who didnt know wont be able to tell that we're cousins. we went to have prata after that. the food wasnt that delicious but i had a great time anyway.

This is not a good day. ok, maybe its not that bad but i still dont feel good. first of all, my results are out. i had hoped that i can get all Bs but after the papers i lowered it down to C for some subjects. then my genetics came out with a D. a big fat D. now i got no As at all in my 1st year, with the exception of jap that is. but having A for jap is no use cos the results arn't counted for it. i'm upset cos i i studied hard for e genetics paper and i knew i could do it. if only i had voiced up to ask the lecturer what the questions meant. i knew he talked to another student for 5 mins about the question. i was straining to hear him but i still didnt dare ask. i have never been so conscious about my grades till i got to uni. maybe cos no matter how badly i did last time, i know i'll do ok in the end. and i never ranked that low among my peers before. in uni now, its different. i'm surrounded by all these smart people. some who even complain that they didnt get enough As to get into director's list. i did the worst among my friends. sigh... kk,i know. enough ranting. gotta buck up next sem.
secondly, mum said last night that some of my relatives and coousins will be driving up to Kota Tinggi(is this how u spell?) this mon. gonna go to the waterfall there and spend the afternoon. but cos they are meeting at 6am, my dad said no way is he giving up his sleep and it'll be tiring for him to drive up. and continued that he is old and not as energetic as before. dont get me wrong, i'm not blaming my dad. i know its tiring for the driver and 6am is damn early. but i'm just disappointed. i badly wanna get out and go on holiday. no matter how short. and i wanna see the waterfall. haiz...this is the 2nd chance we missed this year. first was club med. i wanna go there too~
third... i'm feeling kinda cooped up. not that i dont go out but mostly i've just been looking for jobs. its getting on my nerves. why is it so hard to get a job?? first AP Comm calls me and gives me hope. then they tell me that they are updating their database. why update when they dont have available jobs? then last mon, recruit express called with a job offer. i accepted and waited for confirmation. its been % days and still no calls. sigh...can give up already

Swensen's
Met up with the jap class people yesterday evening after yet another disappointing day of job searching with meizhen. Felt like i wasted the whole afternoon. The dinner was something to look forward to. But only 6 people came today. Junhui didnt join us due to miscommunication on me and meimei's part. We were all waiting for him and luckily, we saw him at the mrt station with his friends! He had no idea we were meeting. So coincidental! We gave kairong his b'dae present. Picked out a cream coloured long sleeved shirt. Lucky never buy the purple one. Haha... Then went Swensen's for dinner.Sat there talking and taking pics for like 2 hrs plus until the waiter asked if we want to order some more food. Went to esplanade after that. Too bad the rooftop was closed. There was actually a stretch selling hawker food at the ground level. Can check it out sometime. We sat by the river and talked somemore. Found out that June Kit is actually a very romantic guy and very sweet to his gf. The things he did for her are like wow. He actually made a snow globe with a rose inside for her. So sweet~ His views on certain issues are also different from some guys. Though he claims its his caveman thinking, it has impressed us gals. Zhen ren bu lou xiang!
Then in the front hall, we saw a very nice artwork. There were many strings of transparent acrylic puzzle pieces hanging from the ceiling. And there were green spotlights around, giving it a green glow. Hopefully i can post some photos soon.
And looking forward to our next meeting~

Bowling again
went to bowl again with meizhen. spent alot of money yesterday. and i did a super embarrassing thing. totally throw all my face. luckily we were at the end of the alley and the guy next to us helped me so i didnt have to inform the personnel. so paiseh! after bowling, we went to suntec for lunch and had the ice cream waffle at gelere. really splurge today.
if u all know any openings for temp jobs pls tell me...i need a job~

Bored~
I'm bored to tears at home...so many people working, nobody free to meet up. i need a job. haiz... if only i could take jap this sem. yun and ling, when can we meet up? havent seen ling in ages~

finally did some exercise yesterday. played badminton at safra with shiwen and meizhen. so shiok, we didnt even have to pay. haha... then went up to bowl. so happy~i finally got a decent score. my score was always under 50 last time. now can hit 100. got a strike and some spares too. shiwen was the best, can get strike while throwing the ball and talking on the phone at the same time. next time we go play again k. we went to TM for lunch. TM is really the place to meet people. i saw so many familiar faces, even jiang jing(my jc form teacher). lol...lucky he nv see us. we were getting a manicure done. i never thought i will go do a manicure. i quite like my nails. chose a shiny pearl pinkish colour. and the person drew red flowers on my thumb. but its like so not me. i'm not used to it. and i keep thinking that i'm bleeding whenever i glance at my hands. anyway, i enjoyed myself yesterday.

Freedom~
finally! i finished all my exams. today's paper wasnt that good. but i'm numb from it after wed's paper. stupid blogger blanked out on me after i typed the super long entry on wed. argh...really upset over the genetics paper. made so many mistakes. cos i didnt trust my instincts or interpreted the question wrongly. haiz...but anyway, i have all the time in the world now. time to get a job. i wanna go on holiday...qifen's in korea, weixiao in taiwan, jeff in tioman. and so many other friends going bangkok.
anyway, i wanna share an interesting story i heard on radio the other day. its not exactly a story but an experiment by an american scientist. he trapped a fly and a bee in a glass jar and put them in the dark. after some time, he shone a light at the top of the jar while leaving an opening at the bottom. guess which of them will escape and which will die in the jar?
the answer is the fly will escape while the bee dies. although the bee has a higher order of intelligence, most of it is based on logic. it only does things based on what it knows. so its logic is that the escape route must be where the light is. it will fly towards the light and fly around it until it finaly dies without finding the opening. cos in its world, it does not know anything such as glass. determined creature but inflexible. haha...
the fly on the other hand, has a lower order of intelligence. it does not know the logic of flying towards light. instead, it will just fly around ramdomly around the whole jar till it finds the opening. it will be able to escape very quickly.
so we must be flexible. if something fails, find another way till we find the solution. dont be bent on using the same method over and over. be the fly and not the bee. haha...

1 more week!
sat for my cell bio paper today. 2 down, 2 more to go. today's paper was really bad. couldnt remember alot of stuff. left at least 10 marks blank. haiz... i'm more worried about next week's papers. genetics and biochem,metabolism. not exactly the most exciting to study.

Basketball Finals At Changkat
accompanied my brother to go watch the basketball match at changkat cc just now. tamp changkat vs tamp central. actually didnt plan to stay for long cos we didnt really get good seats and i should be studying! but the match was quite exciting so i watched for the whole 40 mins. changkat won 41 to 36. there were a few good players. all can jump so high and touch the rim. then see so many steals, fakes, rebounds and layups. some of them pass the ball without looking. and some can shoot 3 pointers very well. really nice. too bad competition cant slam dunk. saw one cute guy too. haha... how i wish i can play like that too. havent touched a ball since jc i think.

Cheeze Prata~
went NUS to study with my dear shiwen yesterday. think i can be quite familiar with nus le. haha...like go there alot of times. the campus is nicer. not so many slopes to climb. shiwen, u cut ur fringe very cute leh. even more like xiao mei mei. haha... the environment was quite nice for studying. we ba zhan a tutorial room to ourselves. but i think we talked a bit too much. after that, we went to the prata shop near fass. i think the cheese prata is very nice~ so much better than the one at canteen a. but quite expensive though, and have to wait very long. tried some of shiwen's ginger milk tea too. it has a...special taste. haha...never tasted anything like that before. craving for cheese prata now...

Start Of Exams!!
Just had my first paper today. Should be the easiest among all my papers--jap. haha...It was alright except for the compo part. Suppose to write 15 sentences about university studies. Like huh, how to write. Think everybody talk more about their jap class. With the exception of kairong. Haha...what he wrote was so funny. Had my listening and oral last week too. The listening compre was disasterous but i think i did well for oral.
Well, the easy part is over. Now for my core modules. Scared...it seems so difficult. So much to study. Cant seem to concentrate on studying this sem. It'll be worse if i didnt go school to study. Had been spending a considerable amount of time with my jap friends. Really fun studying with them. Then always get a lift home from them. Haha...so shiok. But after today, everyone got their own exams. Hope qifen does organise an outing after exams. Will be looking forward to it.

Last Jap Class

Yesterday we had our last jap lesson. Took alot of photos. We even dragged a guy from the corridor to help us take a class photo. Jasmine and junhui didnt come today though. We signed a card for her but due to our very limited jap vocabulary, we could only write in broken english and japanese. Everyone was using 'omoshiroii' and 'arigatou gozaimasu'. lol. June kit wrote her name very nicely in kanji on the envelope. We really like her alot. She made the class so interesting. And its due to her pair work that we could know each other better. The class people are so fun too. There's always laughter and much chatter in jap class. Everybody liked it more than their core modules. We're lucky cos the other classes dont seem to be so close. I'm going to miss the class sooo much. Its thanks to this class that i've made so many friends. I think that we really you yuan. There are so many of them who were secondary school friends or bmt mates who never got close to each other till this class. 9 of us went for dinner at pizza hut after class. Really had alot of fun. Especially when all of us shouted out 'itadakimasu!' before eating. Lucky not many people there. Hope we'll meet up again after the exams. Going to miss going home with kairong, qifen and weixiao. Some of us are going to take level 2 next sem. But too bad the 3 of them cant join us. The girls are going to graduate! Oh wells, tian xia wu bu san zhi yan xi. At least i had a memorable time. G03 rocks!
Sorry if i bored u with my ranting. Havent been blogging much lately. Exams are coming and there's nothing much interesting. Haha...oh yah, i was surprised when i saw nic in the newspaper. i failed my cell biology test. haiz...it was an mcq test. how could i have failed it? though i only failed by 1 mark but still... i did study for it. and stupid kenneth yu's qns are all so tricky. he asked which has the greatest rate of uptake of endocytosis. i chose pinocytosis. ans was RME. how was i supposed to know that he was talking about the rate saturation pt?? argh... depressed

sianz...the sch system sucks. i'm not allowed to take jap level 2 during the special sem cos i havent taken the exam. thats so lame. i think they can clearly see from the mid term test results who will and will not fail. now i'll probably have to wait till next yr cos it'll be too heavy to study with my core modules. sucks... by then i'll forget everything. hai...what GE shall i take now?? tml going for half hr lab session. i have to travel 3 hrs to and fro for a half hr session?! sorry, i cant help but complain

had a gathering with my uni frens on wed. went to sharon's house for a steamboat lunch. there was so much food~ and kawei can really eat. haha... sharon's son, joel was very cute too but he was quite shy and only played with kawei and lihui. he only asked for kawei jie jie. had fun that day playing mahjong and looking at sharon's photos. she looked really good in her wedding photos.
yesterday, i met up with shiwen and meizhen. i slept at 6am in the morn so i was late. chatted with shiwen online till 4.30 and those damn mosquitos were keeping me awake. then when i arrived, i just laughed out when i saw that all 3 of us were wearing red tops and denim bottoms. so qiao~ we had lunch at pasta mania and shiwen was all excited about the opening of 'howl's moving castle' too. we decided to watch it. i couldnt resist it, didnt wanna wait another week. haha... the show was gd, though the age of the gal seems to keep changing and i was kinda confused. the movie was very different from the original storybook. they took away alot of details but added alot of new things. the love element was stronger too, making it draggy towards the end. but the show was quite funny. i like the dog, the castle and howl. haha...so shuai. anyway, i enjoyed myself.

i had a wonderful weekend. on fri, i met up with the gals after sch. went to phin's steakhouse at cineleisure to celebrate les's belated bdae. was sooo hungry after the 4 hr prac. the food there is delicious~ or mb i'm too hungry. haha... i had the grilled chicken with black pepper sauce. yummy~ too bad ling couldnt join us. havent seen her for so long.
on sat, 8 of us went to our pri sch teacher's hse to bai nian. the grp is getting smaller each yr. but its gd meeting up again, esp sijia,victor and ghee seng. we had a fun time playing cards at her hse. it was more like a memory game where we had to shout out each other's names. the loser had to drink bacardi coke or wadeva liquor they wanted. victor drank this apricot brandy that tasted like pi pa gao plus cough syrup to me. yuck. ichwan being muslim, couldnt drink so he ate love letters instead. after everything, he had finished 1/4 of a full bottle of love letters and had a stomachache. lol... mrs choo's daughter was so cute. we have been seeing her since she was born. or rather like once a yr. haha...
the exciting part was when we were about to leave. from the staircase, we saw thick smoke coming from the big field behind(the field behind blk 495 dat spanned all the way to pasir ris, beside esso station and highway.) but there was no fire yet. ghee seng decided to call the police and we stayed around to wait. in the next hr, we saw the start of a huge bush fire. at first, there was just a small fire in the middle of the field. then it started spreading round the trees and formed a ring of fire and started spreading outwards. then the wind came and the fire grew bigger, consuming everything in its path. we waited for 40 mins before the civil defense finally arrived. so slow~ the sun was a blazing hot ball in the sky and when the smoke rose to cover it, it turned bright red. the smoke went up to 12 stories high. wish i could post the pics up. anyway, my pt is dat the firemen were so inefficient. when they arrived, 3 firemen went in to survey the situation. they were strolling in and out, as if there wasnt a fire raging beside them. mb the area was a little inaccesible but cant they do sth more productive? by now the fire was oredi reaching the canal, no pt saving it. the firemen finally did sth. a crowd of them went in and stomped the edge of the fire out with their feet. nope, u didnt get me wrong. it was totally ridiculous. then another crowd went in and lashed at the fire with long black blankets or sth, all the while with 2 civil defense pple taking photos. then they gave up. finally, one hose was connected and water flowed out half an hr after they arrived. i tink its totally ridiculous. they took so long to arrive just to stamp out the fire with their feet? we could have ran in and done dat when we saw the first signs of smoke. sigh...i wish there will be rain in the east soon. the spate of forest fires are leaving a smoke smell at nite. hot hot hot~

went to yum cha with hui n yun on sat. hui n me made the decision to go out at like 2 am. haha... cant stand staying at home. too bad furama didnt have their high tea during new yr. but yum cha was quite gd too. though i miss the xiao long bao at ding tai feng. yum~ cant imagine hui nv heard of it before. after dat went orchard cos yun wanted to look for a v day present for her bf. her bf wanted a surprise, so she got a pair of cute socks for him. haha...
today is valentine's day... and i'm sick. haha... been so weak ever since i came uni. or rather since i left jc. really need to start exercising soon. and the jap teacher really trying to make me blur today. she had to bombard me with so many qns. y?? other pple only get asked 1 qn. hai...i managed to scrape thru the conversation. the test is on thurs!! back to v day, i really miss the times in jc. everyone would exchange small gifts like chocs n cards. the guys in jc 1 S10 even bought stalks of roses for all the gals. though they spoilt the mood by just passing them down the row. haha... there was no such thing today in uni. just the canteen filled with pink heart shaped balloons that fly into ur face when u walked past. dont have a date today either. never had one. but not that i really mind though. like mei mei, her bf told her today dont go out k. its kinda sad, but i guess v day is afterall just a comercialised celebration so that flower sellers and restaurants can rip u off. wad matters is dat ur loved one is with u everyday rite? ^.^

firstly, wanna wish everyone a happy new yr!! had an ok new yr this yr i guess. as usual, didnt get alot of hongbaos but this yr i dont really care. ate so much this yr. had our reunion dinner at home ourselves so couldnt finish all the food. my gambling luck was quite gd this yr. hee... but i didnt bet alot so didnt win much. we played blackjack and i actually got the blackjack 5 times in 1 nite! i nv had better luck. but i kept losing towards e end. my uncle hu zhuang, he was super lucky and got double aces at e last round. everyone had put their highest stakes and in e end had to pay triple. hai... but i dont really like visiting my dad's relatives. they are all relatives dat we only see once a yr. and they all speak in teochew. my teochew totally sucks and all i could do is nod and smile periodically. the silence can be killing sometimes. den my uncle showed me the photos he took during his phuket operation(he's in the police). the destruction is devastating. the hotel room had 1 whole tree stuck thru the balcony in the 2nd floor. and the 7-eleven store dat i went before, only the signboard on its concrete frame is left now. sad...
yesterday(fri) was e 3rd day of new yr and yet i have a full day. sianz... nic came by to say hi. and su yin they all were saying he's still e most shuai guy in sbs. he is, with his model looks and swimmer built. but he's so diao er lang dang. not studying, not working, just rotting away at home. dun understand how he can stand not doing anything. anyway, we were supposed to go watch howl's moving castle~ but in the end decided to postpone. the sneak previews are only out till sun. after dat have to wait till 24th. ah well, i've oredi waited for so many mths anyway. nearly thot they were not going to screen it in spore. but luckily, its hayao miyazaki. how can they not show it. haha... today supposed to go out to. go visiting and play mahjong. but...no one's hse is free. hai...so sad, goin to stay at home. and mum's in thailand. lucky her.
another thing i wanna say. jus now gary asked me to help him search forinfo on ntu courses. he's interested in e chem course. i went to search and hell, i was interested myself. its quite similar to nus jus dat u get to study more elective modules. and compulsary modules in phy, math and chem. the advantage is dat u can op for industrial attachment and still do the honours research project. can do specialised modules in medicinal chem too. and they get to study communications and business modules. plus the honours programme. all this w/o the troublesome bidding system in nus. though nus would definitely be more established in the sciences. hai...if only it was offered 1 yr earlier. best of both worlds. can do chem and bio w/o worry of no bio background. now, the subjects are getting more and more difficult. i'm really scared for genetics. it was interesting at 1st but now its like crap. argh...i really hope i can do well

last fri i went to hui's hostel to stay over. she stayed just beside judith. hall 7 was quite old compared to kawei's hall 10, especially the toilet. but overall it was quite ok. her area was oso much quieter. feel so sad, cant stay in hall. hai...tired of the travelling but home is more comfortable i guess. was so tired after rushing my reports on thur nite. so fri jus slacked at her hostel, watching american idol. it was so funny~ omg, cant imagine the big guy with a woman's voice and he can be so proud of it.
the next day went for jap class. again there's information overload with all the verbs and chinese new yr conversation. but the most angry thing was after class. that stupid jeff said he wanted to go home with me. but i waited so long for him only to leave myself. as expected, he overslept. by like 3 hrs past our meeting time. argh...cant stand him.
tml's new yr's eve~ so sad still got class. sian... but here's wishing everyone a happy new yr! hope u get lots of hongbaos~

argh...i feel terrible~ woke up with 2 swollen eyes and a body full of rashes this morn. i scared myself looking in the mirror. so damn itchy! and the red patches are so damn ugly! dunno wad's wrong. i nv had any allergies. i'm so not going to step out of the hse today. cant face anyone in my state. hai...
had my jap class on thur. the new yr's make up is on next sat at 9am. so early~ hope can go hui's hall stay. so long nv bunk with my dear. haha... now jap is getting more difficult. all the different sentence structures and long words. a simple 'i didnt study' is said as ' iie, benkyou shimasendeshita'. is dat long or wad. and all the timings and prices are driving me crazy. dun like numbers... but jap is still fun. nth much to study. haha... and dorcas taught me how to say 0 to 10 in french! so fun. but i dun tink i'll learn e language. its so difficult. the pronounciation and spelling is so different.
hoping the rashes will go away asap...

Whew, the past 3 days have been jam packed, especially yesterday! Was out the whole of yesterday. And i finally did my new yr clothes shopping. Still can buy more. haha... shopped for shiwen's present in bugis with meizhen on thur. bought this perfume, really nice and sweet smell. then the lady sprayed another perfume on my wrist. spray so much~ the scent took 2 hrs to wear off and start smelling nice.
yesterday, i went for the t4 gathering. we went for the dim sum buffet at miramar hotel. the food was ok but the service wasnt so gd. it wasnt as bad as i thought. then they started being lame and came up with alot of biological pick up lines. things like 'i'm an enzyme, will u be my substrate?' and 'u are like my mitochondria, without u, i wont have the power to live'. ok, i noe its lame but its quite funny. then us 7 gals squeezed into lian ya's car to go orchard where i met up with mum and aaron. tried alot of new yr goodies at the fair. then one of the promoters recognised me as dmn senior. so surprised. (ling,it was ur red cross junior, shi xian or sth.) after dat went for S09 gathering at hongxuan's hse. damn funny lor, they bought all the bbq stuff but not the fire starters. the fire didnt get going till quite late. but it was fun, seeing all the gals. was so tired when i got home. david,lucky i didnt join u all for cycling. i'm not exactly a morning person. haha...

Went out with the dmn pple today. Hui, yun, ling, gary, izhar and jy. Its been a long time since we last went out together. Actually planned to watch movie at PS. But yun and iz watched Meet The Fockers le. The rest doesnt seem interesting. Sianz... So we went to TCC at cineleisure. The environment and drinks were nice except for hui's. She mixed her raspberry and coffee layers in the drink and it turned out...weird. Went shopping after that and the guys just stood outside the shops talking. Didnt really talk to them today and felt bad that they always have to wait outside. Dont like to go shopping with guys. Orchard was so crowded~ and i havent bought my new yr clothes. Hai...no time le. Gary and jy left after dinner and we went shopping at bugis. Still i returned home empty handed...Dont like shopping with crowds.
School has been boring at times. The days seem so long especially after the long journey. But i've more or less gotten used to it, sleeping on the journey or reading manga. Its interesting to watch the people on the train sometimes. This sem, i'm beginning to talk to more people and andre's group has just asked me to join them for a dim sum buffet outing. Was quite surprised since i only talk to her or renchun. Jap class has been fun. I hope we get to learn more.
I also found out alot more people who blog. Its getting more and more popular. But i find that the things that i blog about are just mundane things about my life. Which is nothing interesting. But well, its just some kind of outlet for me. Dont really have to care about it i guess. But i shall try to write about more meaningful stuff. Till then, sayounara~

hmm...i have alot to say in this entry. first let me say that i jus had one of my best bdae ever. cos i actually managed to meet up with all my close frens and received alot of gifts too. most importantly, i have gained back the 2 friendships which i thought i really have lost. and i'm jus really happy abt that.i met up with shiwen and meizhen last thur and had dinner with my family at crystal jade. the claypot chicken there is nice~
but the bbq on new yr's eve was more or less a flop. it was raining most of the time. the guys were bbqing with umbrellas. yun and nana left so early. but the weather was ok after they left. talked to ying and gary most of the nite. but i left hungry. then weiyong's frens were at the chalet, me and hui didnt feel like staying anymore. felt so tired so i went home with gary,ying and les. i was hoping i could catch the last episode of inuyasha but it turned midnite jus as i reach home. so tired~
now is the new yr of 2005 and i hope that this will be a great yr for all of us. i have alot of wishes this yr. i'm greedy. haha... i hope that all my frens will remain close to me. i hope that i can be happy. i hope that i can do well in sch. i hope for everyone to be healthy. i hope this yr will be better than the last. think thats about wad everyone wants. sianz...tml starting sch~ i'm happy that i got my jap elective. on a more serious note, i feel really sad for the victims of the tsunami. i have never been more touched by any news than this one. this tragedy happened so close to home and people i know luckily escaped unscathed. i shudder to think what would have happened if they were caught in it. so this goes out to all the victims. may you all rest in peace...

i'm 19 today. sigh...18 sure sounds nicer. haha... this week was full of treats and dinners. i had my last day of work on tue. my dear colleagues ordered pizza and kfc to treat me and the other part time guy from the shipping dept. $120 worth of food for 10 pple... couldn't finish all that food. then i met yixi and guirong for dinner. they insisted on giving me a treat at marche. but i was still full from lunch so didnt eat much. but at least i dont feel so bad. haha... we went to esplanade and slacked at the roof terrace. its become one of my fave places. then we walked down to raffles place to take the mrt. had a great time catching up with them.
yesterday, i met up with the gals for dinner at pasta mania. they gave me a bag for a present. tks all of u.love ya hui put it in a pure milk shoulder bag. she wont help me carry~ i look weird carrying a shoulder bag and a sling bag. call herself my dear. haha... cya all tml for the bbq~

Christmas is here~ had an enjoyable day at office yesterday. received so many presents and the christmas lunch was very nice. the lasagna was superb. i was surprised that my colleagues even gave me presents. only worked there for like 2 weeks.but it has been boring these two days. no work orders came in cos of the holidays in the france main branch. got nth to do besides filing. sian... looking forward to the family party tml~

just got back from work today. had an admin job at loyang. and it sucked!! i was doing filing for most of the day. so sian... they gave me piles and piles of invoices to sort out and file in the oredi overloaded files. sickening... only until the last hr did they give me a stack of reciepts to key into the com. had to rush thru everything so dat i dont have to do OT. i'm so not going to enjoy this job. 2 weeks and 4 days to go...
checked my results just now. so happy i passed everything. woohoo~ got B for biophysics, organic chem and biochem. got C for modern bio and computing. i was quite disappointed in organic chem and computing. didnt finish the organic paper. sigh... but i'm just glad i passed modern bio!
went out with the gals yesterday to celebrate yun's bdae. had lunch at swensons. too bad i was too full for ice cream. haha... used to go to the airport branch to celebrate my bdaes when i was young. we gave yun a pink leaf-shaped lamp. very nice~ though the box was kinda big. but at least we helped her carry. so gd of us rite? haha... happy bdae yun!

had quite an enjoyable day today. met up with ying, xiuhui and zhikai and watched the national treasure. that zhikai was sooo late. me and ying called him at 1 and he was still at home at 1.40! sigh...why i got this kind of kor. then xiuhui left to meet pey pey and gang. havent seen all of them in a long time. now pey's hair so short, but her character still nv change. haha...xiao la jiao. saw nana and ling at tm too. so many pple, really headache. lucky not working at isetan. see them so busy... anyway, too bad the guys didnt meet up with us. havent seen them in a long long time. heard that izhar grew taller. haha... that stupid gary lah. last min say not coming again. am looking forward to the bbq on new yr's eve!
oh yah, i went for the secret shopper thing again yesterday. nearly couldnt find the office. thot i went the wrong place until mark came. phew... i finished the shops quite fast today and i can finally join in the guys' conversation at lunch today. sam showed me his antique camera, so cool! no need batteries. u have to turn the film urself so it allows for alot of tricks. and the camera is loaded with black and white film. didnt noe there's such a thing. and i caught someone at funan. felt quite bad after that. cos he actually did promoted original software. just that when i sort of pestered him a bit to help me install pirated software, he obliged. i was surprised, cos mark said that this shop will be no prob, reputable shop selling IBM notebooks. he somemore gave me his namecard. so it got attached along with my report. the guys were saying that its cos i'm a gal, thats y he agreed to help. but at least he wont get into trouble with the law...

went to work yesterday. got a part time job lasting 2 days frm shiwen's fren. its quite cool actually, i had fun. we got to be secret shoppers for microsoft and our target is the computer shops at sim lim square and funan. we had to go in, pretend we wanted to buy a PC and see if they promoted pirated software. if they were 'clean',we gave them $20 cash. so actually it was quite dangerous cos we were carrying alot of cash with us. get robbed and i die. funan was very 'clean'.we had to question more at sim lim. and i made a mistake. so paiseh!! i went into the wrong shop and gave out the 20 bucks! cant believe how blur i am. then there was this shop which only caters to corporate users and refused to serve me. the 3 other colleagues in my shift were guys and 1 of them encountered this problem too. he went in and said that he's planning to set up a small company and needs about 5 computers. the salesperson was suspicious but only said that they dont get walk in customers but they did serve him. but if i kena this kind of shop again, i cant go in saying the same thing lor. as if they will believe me. anyway, we worked for like less than 2 hrs, slacking the rest of the time. cos the company has to pay us a minimum of 4 hrs. hahaha...

i had a trial listen to the cd in tower records yesterday. honestly, i prefer her japanese songs. i liked her english song before, 'simple and clean'. its the english version of 'hikari', and also the theme song for the ps2 game 'kingdom hearts'. that's a nice song. but this english album is catered more for the american audience i guess. the style of all the tracks are similar-RnB but just more special. i liked easy breezy and exodus 04' but the rest dont really stand out i think. but the lyrics are quite catchy though, as in u will really notice and listen to them. all in all, i still prefer her japanese albums

woohoo! taufik won the singapore idol last nite! i think overall he is better than sylvester, his vocals and dressing...
anyway, hui told me some bad news today. the landlord gave us 1 mth notice for us to move out. we told him to cancel it yesterday. i'm not goin to pay 1 mth's rent for nothing. then angela complained to hui that our hse very messy and dirty. and that our bathroom floor an basin so dirty and stained. so fucked up. their hse was oredi dat dirty and stained when we got it, if not worse. they handed us a dirty hse so they have no right to say that its dirty now. they gave us a hse full of problems and now they want a hse sparkling clean back? they can go and die~ bet they are gonna blame us for all the problems in the hse. next time gotta be smarter. hui say she learnt alot this time. but i think we just learnt how much we dont noe. now we got the problem about our internet subscription. really need to find someone to take over. if any of u needs/knows anyone who needs starhub cable internet, PLS let me know. thanks!
on to the happier stuff, i met up with meizhen,shiwen,xinyi and les for lunch at marche on tue. we made meizhen finish an ice cream crepe on her own. shiwen and les didnt eat much so it wasnt really that fun. then les left while the 4 of us just picked a movie to watch. we caught Bridget Jones. quite a nice movie. i saw ida working at carrefour too. queued up at her counter by chance. after they show, i wanted to look for a present for ying while shiwen was looking for a present for gary. we walked into the adidas shop den saw this bottle with a unique shape. we both bought it on the spot. fastest bdae shopping ever! haha...i also saw this very nice pair of sneakers. but i dont tink got my size. xinyi's feet just fit the largest size. hai...sad. and so qiao,i found out that ying was having her attachment at suntec so i met up with her. her pay is gd...$600 excluding OT pay. thats high...

met up with shiwen on fri. we walked from PS to heeren to taka and paragon only to walk all the way back to PS. wanted to get this precious thots musical jewelry box for meizhen but all the shops were out of stock. in the end still have to go back to the original shop. we filled the box up with hersheys chocs then tied it up with purple ribbon. it looks very sweet. haha...so pinkish. walk until my legs so tired.
yesterday, i finally met up with the gals to go sentosa. but in the end only got yun,ling,nana and me. that hui overslept. she was still in bed when i called her at 12 lor. then les also, forgot that we were supposed to meet this week. we just wasted the day at sentosa, sitting and chatting for 3 hrs. lucky nv rain. but cos i sat on one side, my right arm became red while my left arm was ok. argh...i gonna end up with an uneven tan again. after that, we went orchard for dinner. realised i was really hungry when i started eating. lol...hui finally joined us and we shopped around.

Oh yah,i watched Shutter the other day. That was some horror show. Never closed my eyes so many times before. Was scary frm the 1st min to the last. The ghost was one hell of a sight. White face with bloody features,esp the eyes. Its scary cos this time,u actually get to see the ghost's face. Unlike those jap and korean shows where the ghosts just have too much hair.

hai...this past week has been most unproductive. i havent been studying much. *guilty* but i feel like i'm in holiday mood le. last wed,shiwen finally came over to stay. we went to watch Shark's Tale in the afternoon with hui n her jc classmates,pei,yu,jud and yuan man. all 10 of us. weird combi...though i noe all of them,it feels like we're watching in 3 different grps. after e movie,shiwen n i left on our own. bought alot of things back den slacked for most of e nite. we had jus sat down to study for less than 1 hr when shiwen say she's hungry. since our hse was practically empty,we went out to buy snacks at 7-11---at 12am. cool huh. but e whole nanyang market was full of bangla workers. really fun to have her over. too bad have to study or can slack ard more.
after that,my whole mind was on play mode. didnt study as much for my organic chem. its supposed to be my fave sub. was quite disappointed with myself actually cos i didnt finish e paper. misunderstood e qn and did too slow.
will be having biochem and computing this week. den no more studying! i'm really trying to concentrate on studying but nth ever seems to get into my head. hai...how? i'm way behind time! and this stupid sore throat of mine is really uncomfortable. now have to talk softly. and my appetite is gone too. hai...mus jia you tml. pls let me be able to study...cant understand how i can be so slack

ok,i havent blogged in like ages. not much has happened ba. jus dat i finally got to meet up with e gals and meizhen a few weeks ago. so miraculous dat all of us were free on one sat. nan de... on a sadder note, got to learn that mdm eng has passed away a few weeks ago. the news spread like wildfire. was supposed to go to her funeral wake but in e end me and hui didnt go. felt kinda bad... mdm eng was still so young lor. life is so unpredictable. really have to treasure the pple around u before they are gone.
anyway, these fews weeks has been very stressful. i have never been so stressed before in my entire life. i'm always having to rush lab reports and tutorials. yun,is it like that in poly? cant imagine this is only the first sem. dun even have time to study. didnt do very well for my biochem quiz. and its mcq lor. haiz... but i'm finally finished with everything today. exams are next week! wonder how to finish. see everybody so pia, i oso very stressed. then become very moody lately. cant gao xing qi lai. no reason to anyway. i want my life back!
but at least now i noe more pple in class. or shd i say, more pple noe me. i was so insignificant in class before. the presentation has made me closer to some of the rest. but nick chose to quit sch 1 mth before exams. tink its stupid lor. he wants to transfer to law in nus but he quit sch before even he appeal. tink very wasted. den now everybody treat him as an asshole cos of the project.
i cant wait for exams to be over. i wanna meet up with my frens. i wanna enjoy my hols. i wanna go out. and i hope there's chalet.

whew...had an enjoyable day today.went to jurong bird park with hui and wanyu.havent been there since i was 6.really had a fun time seeing all the cute birds.there was one parrot which kept folowing the direction of the music from wanyu's hp ringtone.very smart and musically inclined.haha...but the best part was when we were at the waterfall avairy.we were lucky enough to catch the feeding session.thot it would be boring but tens of different birds began flying around us to feed on the worms.very spectacular.i asked the keeper to let me try.he put a handful of worms on my palm,den the birds perched on my hands to eat.it was really special.the worms were really ticklish though.hui didnt dare to try.the highlight of the day was supposed to be the new exhibit,the lory loft.it would have been if not for the bird shit that i kena right smack in my face.couldnt have been luckier.well,there were like hundereds of lories flying free. there was a suspension bridge too but the australia one is still the best.i still like lories though,even after wad one of them has done.they are less fearful of humans.and i still have the photo from perth!took alot of pics today.mb i can upload after developing.

at nite,we caught the 9.30pm show of 'white chicks' with shuhui.wanted to watch the midnite show but shuhui think too late.too bad.the show was totally hilarious!should go and watch.really worth the money.

hi pple~i havent been blogging in a long time.last week at sch has been a total disaster!went back on mon after the hols to find that i had to submit 2 lab reports on that day.and i havent completed any!damn those lab reports.hate doing them.i skipped the second hr of bio lec and cooped myself in the com lab finishing the pdb report.finally managed to finish on time.only had myself to blame for slacking during the hols.funny thing was i wasnt stressed out.is it a gd or bad thing?i dunno.haha...mb cos seeing that leepei was more stressed than i was kept me calm.
den my wed organic lab got shifted to sat.that was another disaster.sth had to go wrong with every single step i make.my gloves got soaked in the dichloromethane.hope it didnt seep to my hands.nearly wanted to give up.and our efforts would have gone down the drain if nick didnt help us in time.
on wed finally got to meet shiwen and siew.went shopping with shiwen and i bought my pants frm giodano.at long last~ : ) both of us were like throwing the clothes to each other over the changing rooms.haha...like shopping with her. found ut that ezzat working there too.
this week was much better.played badminton with hui on mon.den on tue,the 4 of us plus fang eng,limin and lydia gathered under our block to shang yue.we were eating mooncakes and playing truth or dare.very fun.tml going to jurong bird park.lol...looking forward to it.pls dun rain~

anyway,the past week has been rather...exciting at the jurong hse.thing was,on the previous fri when we were packing our clothes,me and hui found some of our clothes rather wet.i hung mine on the window sill,and the wall had tracks of water running down it.weird but hui's were worse.she hung her jeans on the window grill itself.high above the sill.she found dat her jeans were very wet,with patches of water down the legs.the weird thing is ,though it rained,our windows were closed.there's no way hui's jeans could hav gotten wet.
when we came back after the weekend,we found 2 puddles of water in our room.abt 1m apart and half metre away frm the window sill.the windows were closed.and this time,shuhui told me it didnt rain at all over the weekend.is this creepy or wad?
den the last fri,angela(the owner's wife) called hui and said she had sth urgent to discuss with us face to face.when she came,she asked if she and her daughter can move in with us.major shock lor!den she started saying she got problems with her husband and started crying.me and hui were at a loss.nv knew wad to do when pple cry in front of me.adult somemore.so we jus agreed.den moved everything frm our room to wanyu's room.but in the end,leepei and hui's parents blamed us and strongly objected.i admit we might be rash but when we saw her brake down,we totally couldnt bring ourselves to say no lor.even though we were a little skeptical abt it.anyway,on sat morn,hui called me and said angela found another solution.so everything will stay as normal.whew...y we shift in got so many problems??

watched the swimming and table-tennis of the olympics this week.so exciting! especially yesterday's match,li jia wei vs the north korean.it was sooo close.a pity she didnt win.the last game was matched point by point till the korean finally won.hai...and jia wei lost today's match too.so close to winning a medal.nv been so excited watching a game.
had my 1st lab prac this week.had to look thru the microscope to identify cells.but i couldnt see anything clear enuf to identify,except the dirt on the slides dat is.then we had to draw a boxed image of blood cells in a vessel i tink.didnt hav time to draw there.2 classes had to share 1 pathetic image.so guess wad,everybody whipped out their camera hp and clicked away~ the bliss of technology.haha...
after that,i went orchard to meet up with shiwen,meizhen and xinyi.its been a mth since we last went out.its been a mth since i last went out with anybody.had dinner at mos burger and went to kino.den we stood at the mrt station till it was time to go home.lol...had planned to go mc cafe but we were stuck there.jus chatted alot the whole evening.it was a simple outing but it felt gd.

looking for pple with 'image'.much more superficial than the american version.dun like...but itwatched s'pore idol this week.its totally hilarious!!the lemon tree guy was so funny~he really earned the title of s'pore's william hung.to think pple will be proud to declare dat.lol...and there was this disgusting 'full time eyebrow plucker'.had met him on orchard road.he approach me and shiwen den ask if wan da ge ge to shape our eyebrows.disgusted...but overall,american idol is much better.got simon cowell.haha...tink he'll faint if he hear the s'pore contestants.the judges seem to bes a gd comedy though.haha...
as for sch,very stressed studying biochem.the lecturer seems to be setting to break a new record each lecture.this week,he finished 63 slides in less than 1.5 hrs!cant stand it.he thinks we all shd have the basics oredi and its an ok speed.but there's alot of new things.even to those with bio background.so of cos i dun understand.argh...he talk so fast,all his words get slurred together.mus get tape recorder.haha...really hope to meet up with some frens soon.like no life lidat.
oh yah,i stayed at kawei's hostel yesterday.its quite nice actually.got a chalet feeling.pple are jogging at like 1am.and playing volleyball and badminton too.seems cool.jus dat her hostel is super far frm sch.hav to go up and down countless of stairs.tiring...but i would hav stayed at e hostel if i could find a room mate.at least got free internet access.and probably get to noe more pple.shiwen,wish u were here.sigh...

ah~home sweet home.finally 1 week has past.the air has never been fresher.haha...i'm not exaggerating.the air in the west sux.all e smoke frm big lorries and buses.and its near industrial areas.worst is,there's this weird,smell dat i absolutely hate.so smelly~shuhui says its the 'jurong soil' smell.lol...
its fun to stay outside with no restrictions.can sleep anytime i want.haha...but home is still more comfortable.the noises there can get creepy sometimes.all the weird noises even at midnite.and the house is full of flaws we didnt noe before.our kitchen floor got flooded on the 1st day cos of the rain.one of the windows like going to drop off any min.the main door cant be locked cos lock oredi cant unlock.the fridge and flush is spoilt...and i dun like the flat being so dark.but overall its a new experience.its better too cos i get to study with lee pei.can discuss our work.
sch is less stressful than last week.though its still a mad rush for printing of notes.and the biochem lecturer still goes at a pace i cant catch.got lousy biophysics and biochem tutors.but tink organic chem will be not bad.

things can get better.and it will.someday...till then,i'll miss u

hey chantel,i'm blogging now k.so dun complain.haha...have to do a quick one.today didnt go as well as i wanted or expected.it was e 1st lec of biochem today.oredi so stressed.had to print out all our notes ourselves.a freaking 48 pages.wad was worst was dat e korean lecturer went at a super fast pace,finishing all 48 pgs in like 1.5 hrs!i totally couldnt catch up.i forgot my chem principles,and dunno all e bio terms.it was stressful sitting beside shuhui,hu seem to have alot to copy.kawei too.i thot 1st lec would be intro.but noo...it didnt help dat e notes were so brief.

after dat,we went for lunch and the cca bazaar.signed up for odac.reached home at like 4.45.so tired after e journey.but i went out 15 mins later,meeting siti to go rose's chalet.met up with chantel and rochelle den went together.had so much fun there.so much to talk abt.yus and sharifah came after work.yus was high and laughing so much as usual.we took so many photos and chantel took a super lame video.lol...i'm still keeping it.

after i went home,shuhui told me have to print notes for tml's lec.luckily its only 20 pgs.(only as compared to 48...).i wanted to print it on double sides but e printer jus wont listen to me.after i printed all e odd no pgs w/o any probs,it took 2 pieces of paper while printing e even sides.thus disrupting e pg structure.happened more than twice.so my notes are all haywire now.argh!!had to stop printing so many times but still couldnt save it.so pissed and fed up with e printer!and guess wad,i ran out of paper.i cant reprint and i cant print my tutorial.argh...so late le.i'll go crazy if i always hav to print with this printer.

haiz...need to slp.so damn tired.tml still hav to wake up at 7.wish me luck dat i'll understand e lec tml.luv ya~

time for an update!realised that blogger has more functions in posting now.haha...but i'm in a hurry so shall not try it out yet.anyway,we found a flat today!!like finally!paid the deposit le.but layhwa back out so its jus hui,wanyu,lee pei and me.so exciting~the flat's at jurong west,very near ntu.i tink i'm goin to take jap as an elective too.either jap or comm studies.too bad the marketing module clashes with my schedule or i can go for lec with hui.we'll be moving in next sun.5 room flat.haha...like so big... the only bad thing is dat when we were at boonlay mrt,we saw like a big congregation of bangladesh workers sitting outside.soo many,so intimidating.like second serangoon road lidat.shuhui oso told me dat she practically runs home when she goes home late cos they'll be walking ard,looking at her.and she told me of the buses to advoid cos its dominated by their pple.wont dare to go home alone le.
 
last tue,i went out with shiwen and meizhen.spent a whole 19 bucks on food.1st,we went to the choc bar in esplanade for the choc fondue.we dipped fresh strawberries,banana,marshmellows and bread in milk,white or dark melted choc.pure sin~haha...had planned to go gelera for their ice cream waffle but we decided it was too much.had gone out on tue specially for this actually.after satisfying our sweet tooth,we went to party world next to heeren for 3.5 hrs of ktv.wasnt really confident of singing lah.and the supervisor there thot shiwen was cute!so there were dark figures walking past our door and coming in every 10 mins.damn irritating.and he didnt even dare to ask for her number himself.lol...

hmm...these past few weeks hav been quite tiring but quite fun. had quite alot of freedom to do wad i wanted at work.was supposed to train geok kwee to be cashier this week but i didnt really noe wad to do.i didnt wan to be too naggy with telling her wad to do since i tink she noes oredi.dun wanna become another irene.i'm supposed to let her be e cashier but i was quite bad and selfish i guess.it was my last week and i really wanted to be the cashier.and tink i taught her pretty well with wad needs to reprint cos she started telling me for every transaction dat it gets irritating.
cant believe i've worked there for 5 mths!but it actually isnt as bad as wad everybody thinks.if u dun keep thinking abt e pay at least...yesterday was my last day.feels weird dat i can be at home typing this now.haha...at least save me frm e OT i would hav gotten if i were still working.felt quite sad clearing my locker. siew lin put me in almost all e zones yesterday.lol...was at each place for less than an hr.except cashier.keyed up to receipt no 500+.1st time~anisah cooked sambal eggs for me.so nice~den all of them gave me a huge hello kitty dats as high as my thighs.now dunno where to put it.
now dat i'm not working,can go out more often.hope everybody's free!goin to go shopping~oh yah,i watched harry potter with shiwen last week.no exciting~though shiwen say its like a horror show instead.hee...looking forward to goin out...
on to a more fustrating thing...lately i've been receiving alot of letters frm nus AND ntu.thot i had oredi stated dat i'm goin nus.they were e pple hu say wan us to make up our choices.y still send me letters saying congrats and asking me to join e bio sci camp?but it does seem fun.nus has been giving letters abt so many different camps but they're all so ex and i feel so sian jus seeing them.50 bucks for a camp is too much.i keep wondering if i've made e right choice.everybody oso says bio sci is better.it really does seem tempting.dun like e indecisive me.jus hope everything will be fine and i've made e right choice afterall...

going to work is becoming more and more of a drag.siti quit last fri and chantel's quitting on wed.i'll feel so bored.now siti not ard oredi got so many things to do.hav been doin alot of return stock these few days.so tiring...esp for dat frasindo.i seem stuck with that brand.y do all e stock hav to come at e same time?and jenny lim keep asking e baby staff to go down to be in charge of e mogu.dun they noe we're short of staff?but i like e mogu though.but after seeing wad pple do to e display sets,jus warn u pple,never take e display sets.so absolutely disgusting!den now always different shift frm chantel.sadz...went out with siti before she went to work on e last day.went all e way to compass pt and she ended up late.haha...had fun...

i went for e s09 gathering at les's hse on sat.felt kinda guilty for not goin for my family gathering.now always nv eat with them.had a bbq at les's hse.didnt see most of them for so long.e guys look better after goin army.finally got to catch up with shiwen.so many secrets to tell.haha...hopefully can get in e same uni as her den can be room mates.
went to bugis with her yesterday.spent alot on food.haha...after dinner,we walked past swensen's den jus decided to go in for ice cream.siao one.haha...

haiz...i'm so so messed up right now.dunno wad to do.i got letters from both ntu and nus.nus gave me an early offer for science fac,which is gd.but i hav to apply by 4th may!like huh...so fast.mb its not so gd to get an offer so early afterall.and i got offered for bio science in ntu.simply cant believe it!firstly,they didnt even bother to interview me for mass comm.secondly,they actually granted me bio sci in which i hav zero bio background and only has 80 places compared to e 180 in mass comm.but now,i dunno whether to accept e bio sci or do a chem degree in nus.chem is sth i'm familar and comfortable with.bio sci is sth i had interest in but its kinda scary cos i dunno if i can sustain e interest when i actually try it.but e job prospects seem better than getting a chem degree.everybody seems to think its not very gd.cos it doesnt hav much of a specialisation i guess.but i went down to ntu today and it kinda puts me off.i dun like e environment.e buildings look old and grey and e place jus seem so boring.besides its sooo far.nus is more vibrant.e campus is much better and makes me feel dat i wanna study there.but i dunno.i hav less than a week to decide cos hav to send e cheque to them by e application date.argh!e letter alone took almost 5 days to arrive lor.wth...how??

btw,i agreed to extend my contract at isetan.everybody thinks its stupid but dun care lah.jus goin to work for another mth i guess.had my 1st shortage dat day.sad sia...but janet and e rest helped me so i 'balanced'.concourse has been a gd experience.but chantel told me dat we kena complain letter today.customer say we went together to look for stock for stroller together and took 20 mins.say we took our own sweet time.cannot be lor.wth.and on her 2nd visit,she ask us to look for stock for dress and we cant find.but siti found it in less than 5 mins.suay sia...dunno which customer so free.come piss me off at this time.couldnt care less lah.

hmm...my off finally came.dun really like fri off.seem to hav to wait so long for it.anyway, hav been sick this week.was using up all e toilet paper at e cash counter.my super ask if i wanted to extend my contract.need to give her an ans by tml.dun really noe if i shd continue.cos i'll be alone.wont be fun w/o siti and chantel.sadz...wan to try finding a new job but at this period,it seems difficult to be able to find a 2 mths one.it'll be gd to try sth new.but cant believe dat i'm actually considering to continue.how many times in e past hav we wanted to quit but we still stayed on.my super was saying 'dun hav to see them,stay for e money'. haha...like chantel said,if we were working for e money,we would hav quit ages ago. everybody keep asking y i work there in e 1st place.i dunno.but e pple are simply great.e temp staff and e pple in my dept are anyway.even gloria and 'sao ya' hav been very nice to us now.and inthra doesnt seem so bad anymore.haiz...to quit or not to quit...

enuf abt work...iz is goin into e army tml.gonna feel weird without his teasing.e whole grp,with e addition of omar went to eat at e OA cafe.our last grp outing was like eons ago.its a miracle dat everyone can make it today.though it seems funny dat e guys were talking like iz is goin to die or sth.we went swensen's for ice cream but not everybody ate so it was quite sian.dat silly hui tried to tie e cherry stem in a knot with her tounge.and without surprise,she failed.wonder when's e next time we can meet...

chantel,anishia and i oso bought e same top frm converse but all different colour.got 35% off including staff discount.rose was so nice.she lent us her card and said we could pay her back at e end of e mth.and sun will be anishia's last day.anishia,i'll miss u so much.my lunch partner loh.all e best for ur appeals yah.dun worry too much.and cant wait for e staff purchase dats coming.25% off.havent found sth to buy yet.hee...

on wed,i finally hav sth to do at work.got new stock for seed.haha...e denim skirt so nice lor.haha...it'll always be my fave brand.chantel and i were like so excited.we were packing e store when we did sth incredibly stupid.seriously not our fault lor.haiz...chantel,i havent told anybody abt it yet.feel like getting it out but cant.after work,siti came to meet me and me and chantel pulled her back to isetan.we wanted to show her e seed clothes.and she was wearing e seed denim dress!me and chantel went to try e clothes for fun.lol...cant believe i did dat and i could actually wear it.but e skirt was like damn short.e toga and skirt looked nice on chantel though.even nicer than e real mango denim skirt.lol...we showed told rose and jo and they ask us to reserve lah.haha...how i wish e skirt got bigger size.

we didnt hav time to pack finish e stock so there was still one carton left in e store.den they said e big boss frm japan coming and hav to clear e clothes off e racks. i dun understand lor.most of e racks look neat enuf oredi.anyway,i had to clear so much clothes,there was hardly any space left in e store.and e wagon cabinets were full too.so obviously i didnt take out e seed clothes.but jo left a msg on e schedule to me and chantel today,asking us to clear e stock.den wonder if we can see.funny lor she.

didnt hav time to blog on sat but anyway sat turned out to be quite fun.i met up with siew and izhar to go for e nus open house.surprisingly e journey was quite short.abt an hr i tink.we met sokwan,hui and e rest on e way.at e sports hall where all e faculty booths were,i saw alot of familar faces.mostly were dmn pple.saw some sea sports pple frm tpjc.den shiwen and her sis joined us.her sis looks like she's e older one.lol...e booths were so full of pple dat i barely squeezed thru to e science booth but there's nobody to talk to and i ended up stuck inside.siew and iz were like laughing at me lor.anyway,i, jus wasted my time there.didnt go for any talks too.regret dat i nv go ntu.but its like so damn far.i prefer nus's location and system dat u get 2 courses and e chance of changing it at e end of yr 1 but i tink ntu's courses might be better.haiz...cant decide.and nus like so difficult to find a place to eat.i found dat they only hav 4 canteens.worse than poly lor.we couldnt get on e bus out of nus cos it was packed with pple and there were hardly any cabs too.i waited half an hr jus to get on e stupid bus.me and iz joined wanyu,layhwa,weiqiang, kwokjian and benny after a late lunch at 4!so hungry!we went to west coast park.its so small.e stretch of sea is so miserable and instead of e beach,its replaced by a sand pit.we sat down and talk and didnt realise dat our pants were all brown frm e mud.lol...e clouds turned dark grey so we left and no sooner when we reached e bus stop,it started raining heavily with raindrops so big and falling hard.e guys were very sweet and thay stood on e outside to protect us frm e rain.we tried getting 2 cabs to city hall but there were hardly any empty cabs.and now layhwa has all e nos to every cab company.all e lines were engaged btw.tink there's sth abt cab drivers in e west.all of them got attitude problem!all e empty cabs jus whizzed past us.1 driver was even smoking as he drove.we had to walk out a long distance to take bus back to clementi. and it doesnt help dat layhwa is super scared of lightning.had to make hui wait alone for so long.sorry hui.and sakae sushi was full.but we ate at e sushi restaurant outside funan.it has thai and korean food too.quite nice.weiqiang took a plate of fried fish,supposedly ikan bilis.it was so nice!and not to mention dat some of
e waiters are quite gd looking.but some look very gay too.lol...today my meals seems to be at weird timings sia.we ate until e restaurant closed den went chimes to walk.walk until got no place to go.haha...had a really fun day.till next time,gd nite!

finally got my results yesterday!waited 3 mths for this piece of paper.didnt wanna stay at home to wait so i met siti in e morn.we walked ard so many shops trying clothes.lol...we even went to metro children's sect looking for e 'itsy bitsy' dress.den i bought lunch up to ling's hse.dat gal too lazy to go out liao.ling,ur sofa very comfortable lor.always feel like sleeping there.met iz after his prayers and went to sch together.all e army guys so different liao lor.didnt recognise weixiong and bryan though they were standing beside me in e bus.everybody was so anxious in e hall yet dat stupid principal(forgot her name) still take her time reading e statistics.i got ABC and B3 for GP.cant believe it lor.really happy for e GP.even wendy goh was so happy for me.hav to thank her and iz.most of e rest did quite well too.sadly,iz didnt.he say he's glad for e pass but tink he's hiding it.anyway,i went out with e dmn pple after dat.surprised dat e class gals nv go out together.we ate at pizza hut.all 14 of us!its e biggest grp i ate with i tink.now hav to tink wad to study in uni.haiz...really dunno sia.

siti told me dat they sacked angela too.though she wanted to quit earlier,its different when u get sacked.felt dat they shdnt do it lor.mb its her work attitude ba.now left me,chantel and siti.but joyce can really serve customers very well.so sweet too.feel a bit paiseh today when she can lower e walker and i couldnt.

jo put me to cashier again this afternoon.today so funny lor.chantel asked me for help to do transfer for a box of shoes.i said hav to paste e sticker but wasnt sure where.anyway,it was pasted right across e box!lol...jo came and asked hu paste until lidat.den four of us including siti was laughing like siao at e cashier.didnt even care dat pek hoon was there.so glad jo is our supervisor.

after work,ling came to isetan to find me so i went back in.turns out dat she noes e king koil promoter there.e one whom hui zhen say his hair look like bird's nest.so funny!ling,sorry for leaving u alone for so long.

today's jenn's last day.so sad lor.jenn,i'm gonna miss u.she kept goin on and on abt her 16min 21sec conversation with hongming and how cute he was.still say dun like him anymore.buay tahan.haha...den she got e mcdonald's manager to give me,chantel and her a free twist each.haha...e mc's pple are prob gonna miss u too. hehe...treat e pic i gave u as my parting give ba.haha...

it has been quite an eventful week.first time had to do ot at work.so tiring lor.finally got my pay on sat.but they deducted $104 for my sun mc.heartache sia...chantel and co,after i read ur blogs,i almost feel like adding all e 'can' at e end of my sentence.lol...shall control myself.this week we were busy with stock take.didnt noe wad all e fuss was abt.didnt tink it was as difficult as wad e seniors were saying.but at least it gave us sth to do.but it was quite chaotic on wed.pple frm all depts came to help us.and my partner,mas frm accounts ,was like telling sharon not to puit her here next time.lol...oh yah,there's this new gal joyce.she sort of replaced aini in our dept.so sad,i miss aini.hope this new gal wont affect our places in our dept.but this week so many pple leaving.so sian...
went out with hui and ling yesterday.so long nv see hui oredi.took them to e cafe at killiney road.e food damn cheap.had a fun day yesterday.
results are coming out in abt 4 hrs!haiz...i'm not really scared yet but i really dun look forward to it.dunno wad to expect...dun tink i'll do well actually.everyone was wishing me luck yesterday.tks u guys...but its not gonna affect e results anyway.hope i'll be as happy as u all were last week.ciao~hope i'll hav gd news.*crossing fingers*
